Also, it quite often comes down to 'How' you say things about people. If you openly attack somebody or say spiteful things to them, it is hard to love and tolerate that kind of person. If your words are softer spoken then you probably won't end up getting such a harsh time from bronies.

Sometimes that's the way people put it, aka: "Fuck you ponyfag go die" is just plain rude. And instead of replying with something equally horrible, some people just try to make a joke out of it with pictures and stuff.

Well, I'm a brony and I'm not being aggressive. Perhaps you just met some bronies who were not so good at the "Love and Tolerate" thing. It is a surprisingly hard concept to grasp after all.

Like I said. We "Try" to love and Tolerate but at the end of the day not everyone is going to be all that good at it off the bat. Perhaps it would be worth focussing more on the positives than the negatives?

Well, I don't. By that simple fact your beliefs about the brony community appear to be flawed. You can't say "All swans are white" if you've ever seen a black one.

Either way, It hurts me to think that there are bronies out there spreading a bad name for all the ones who do get the whole L&T thing right (most of the time... I'm no saint) but people will be people and conflict is in our nature. Trying to suppress that is... much harder to do than it seems.

Well, that's mostly the internet-savvy ones. The Majority of Bronies either don't frequent the internet or stay on the Pony sites. The bronies that are causing those problems for you are just regular FJ, 4Chan or (god help us all...) 9Gagers who happen to also be Bronies.

I was on FJ before I became a brony and I'm pretty tame. It's just that you tend to take notice of the ones that make trouble for you more than the ones who don't.

I define a fanboy as someone who would go out of their way to get closer to the thing they love. That's Why I own and and have read all the halo books, own and have played all the games (I can't wait for halo 4), I own the DVD of halo: legends, and I've collected all the action figures. (Including halo 4) But your definition is true too.

If you REALLY think that bornies "love and tolerate" then you should take a look at their community sometime. The whole love and tolerate just started from an image of Twilight saying "I'm gonna love and tolerate the shit out of you". First of all, that line isn't even in the show. Secondly, it was just used in a single image before the ponyfags started to use it as an anti-troll meaning. Right now, the brony community is no better than any onther community and they use the whole love and tolerate thing to make their community seem more appealing from the outside.

TL ; DR - Bronies should stick to the MLP-specific forums because they are actually the most cancerous community (not telling this to hate). If they stayed in their own forums nobody would give a fuck about what they do or what they fap to.

That is implying a lot of things. Whilst yes, that is the origin of the "Love and Tolerate" thing, that doesn't matter. It is not where it comes from that is important, it is what it is and what it is is a great little phrase that bronies (the nicer ones at least) try to live by.

Sure, it's shockingly easy to point at the loud minority of the fanbase and say "These guys are disgusting hypocrites." But that would be like me judging the entire of the music industry by Justin Beiber, Nickie Manaj an Rebecca Black. Sure, they get a lot of exposure, but that doesn't mean the music industry is bad, it just means that they specifically are bad. There's thousands of other signed artists making music in all forms of genres and for the most part they're pretty good. (Some are very polarising because they operate on the fringe but hey, can't begrudge them their tastes.)

I am a brony. I am not attracted to ponies. I am a part of the majority of bronies who don't scream and holler whenever you poke them. It just so happens that the majority tend to keep their heads down.

As for anyone else's sexual preferences... why the fuck does that even matter? They're not sick, warped, fucked up or even wrong in any way shape or form. They just have different tastes to you. Honestly ask yourself why you care about this.

Either way, the likely case is that I've made not a single dent in your viewpoint of bronies but at the very least I tried to show you the truth that I see. Enjoy your life, just please don't try to stop others enjoying theirs.

I honestly don't give a fuck about this whole MLP stuff, as I've already given the show a chance and watched the first season I can say that I've saw all of the sides' arguments and while the haters' arguments are pretty pale and retarded, this is, still, a community of dislikers and both sides should go by their rules.

Nobody should post pony gore pictures and hate comments either; that's the way communities work. Minorities suck it up when discussing in public and do whatever the hell they want on their forums.

I can agree with this on most levels but most bronies are about loving and tolerating other people. There are bronies who say they love and tolerate then just turn around and go bully a clopper or some hater. Either way though, the show sends the message of love and tolerance. Most bronies, including me, exercise this but some dont. And if thats the kind of person they want to be then thats fine.
