yea, not really forced but its a case of what i said below, and like he said "never wade the same dirty river twice" or something to that effect, so he wont be back for the anniversary. but yea lotsa factors were responsible, but he was one of the key parts in the successful revival, shame its pretty average now though :(

It was mine first doctor, and probably the first of many others and that's one of the main reason he is so adored, even tough he had only season (that, and the fact that he was FUCKING AWESOME!!!) , but there are 10 more of them and many people have seen them.
P.S. It's also the best for me, but I haven't watched any of the old series, I don't know the rest and I can't judge them.

I like 9, 10, and 11 all. For different reasons. I don't like the show as much under doctor 11, but that's the writer's fault, not Smith's. 9 stood out as being pretty grim, and you could see a lot of guilt in him. 10 was the most varied, I think. 11 is pleasantly manic, but he can switch to being pretty damn serious quickly.

I just started watching it and I am liking the 9th doctor a lot of people love the 10th one though...

the 10th is too insane, insane in a good way but just over the top in my opinion. the 11th i think is the worst outa the 3 though
