I go to Glasgow Uni. And in the University, there's an anatomy museum. I made the mistake of going to the upstairs portion, where there are several vaginas (some extending to the anus) in glass jars (think Snape's office in Harry Potter). Just around the corner were penises as well, one of which was bigger than my arm. Along a third wall were preserved babies, either from just before or just after birth. As it stands now, when I'm home, I don't leave my room, but I'm only home to sleep, and when other people aren't here, otherwise I'm either at school, or at a friend's just so I don't have to be home. My family tends to annoy me all the time, even when it's something one wouldn't generally be annoyed with.

My family tries to annoy me, but they're pretty awesome with a good sense of humor, so I don't get so annoyed lol.

I was in one of those almost-relationships a year ago with a guy about four years older than me that I met at work
and he kind of ended up blowing me off--it sucked, but I learned a lot more about him after just deciding to be friends, like how he's slept with who-knows-how-many-girls.

Fun. For me, I met this girl like 6 years ago, been crazy about her since, but I'm too much of a beta fag to have said anything, and had grown to accept that she'll never be mine. Then, earlier this summer, some shit went down and I found out she had been hooking up with one of my best friends (no fucking though, not that it'd matter much to me). The whole situation caused me to lose that guy as a friend (now we just tolerate each other, since neither of us is willing to leave our (rather small) group of friends. When I went to talk to her about it, we started making out, and that went on and off for a while. Then last week, I went over to her house to watch movies with a mutual friend of ours, and he left early, and I wound up staying the night.

Not entirely sure where me and her stand, I saw her yesterday, and we went to eat, and went up to the park and sat on a bench holding each other and all that jazz, and then parted ways.

Mind you, before last week, I was about ready to give up on the whole situation, and go after another girl, who I've heard through the grapevine is interested in me (and vice versa, otherwise this isn't an issue), but once again, to much of a pussy to say anything, and the past few weeks she's been.. I dunno... less... interactive with me, I guess you could say.... Until last night, when I walked her home from our mutual friend's house where we usually hang out (she lives 2 houses up the block, and that's also the direction I have to go, so it wasn't so much walking her home, as it was leaving simultaneously), and then sat outside her house talking about anything and everything for about half an hour, and I could see that small spark of desire in her eyes.

Moral of my stories: Don't be a whore, and don't be a douche, and it'll eventually work, it just takes longer

I'm happy that I've never really had to deal with any friends getting with any guy I like, because they've always had their own boyfriends.
The only guys that ever show interest in me are the stalker-ish type that literally don't leave me alone, or the douchebags who only want me for one thing.

Yeah, see, that's where you're wrong. I'm 21, socially retarded, and finally got my ass back to school (I'm a lazy bastard, so it took me far longer than it should've to go to college, and even then, I'm only in community college). I really had no hope of anything good happening to me any time soon... then the whole situation just kinda fell into my lap (...literally, actually =p ). Live your life, yes, but don't worry about any of this too much, it'll happen when it happens, and just take care of yourself in the mean time. You don't have to worry about "oh I'm headed to a party tonight, I have to get all dressed up and put on makeup and blahblahblahblahblah." If a guy truly wants you, he'll think you look great regardless of how you're dressed (if you're dressed at all =p ), regardless of if you have any makeup on. He'll want you, because you're you, because you're unique in your own way. You can't really go around looking for someone, you just kinda... find each other. At least that's how it's been in my experience (however little experience that may be)

Then something happens with someone and you realize how much they mean to you, and you stop hating most of the people you deal with, and you -REALLY- don't hate one person. Eh, I'm on antidepressants, so they will probably slow that numbness down for me a little bit.
But since I'm in a new environment with new people I've never met, it helps to keep me from hating every last person.
And I don't necessarily "hate" people, I just get very annoyed very easily at times (the quirks of birth control).

A new environment helps, unfortunately for me, I've lived in 3 different houses, all of which are in the same town, and I'm in community college, so that still doesn't help. I also have an overbearing family (particularly, an overbearing mother), which makes this whole situation a lot worse, because I'd be staying at her house a lot more, considering she lives 6 blocks away from my school, whereas I live 32 blocks away, it'd be a lot more convenient. So at least feel lucky for that, you have some semblance of freedom =p

Yeah my family is kind of scattered everywhere; my mom and step dad moved to Missouri, my dad lives on the Illinois border (five hours from me) and my brother is moving to Texas come next month.
But it's still nice to be in a new environment, though I'm not one for change, but whatever, I'll get over it :D

See, as fucked up as this sounds, I'd rather that. As it stands now, I'm a pretty miserable bastard leeching off his parents, and half of his extended family is full of religious nuts, and the other half full of assholes (granted, they're usually cool assholes, but whatever). Oh, and my mother is deathly afraid of the religious nuts (her side), finding out I don't believe in god, because they might stop talking to her (they have for other, smaller things in the past). Personally, I don't give a fuck, if they can't accept that someone doesn't believe in an invisible man in the sky who has never provided and quantifiable proof of his existence besides a book that doesn't count as quantifiable, and they don't wanna associate with that person, why should I care.

Now I'm getting all ranty and angry... GRR =p

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, you seem to have it better than you realize. Your love life may be lacking, but despite how scattered your family seems, you seem to have it fairly good, and that space can actually be very helpful, mentally speaking

Hopefully once you're done with college, you'll be able to fend for yourself--it's hard to in this economy, I know.
But as long as you're actually doing something with your life, you're doing better than those who never leave their rooms :P
