Give him some credit. Most people will judge novels such as 50 Shades and Twilight without having ever read them, they criticize them because it's cool, this guy is actually going to become a legitimate critic of that book.
Whats more, if he is reading it because he actually enjoys it, kudos to him for not giving a fuck what people think and reading it in public.
