While i enjoyed both movie series, I was more partial to harry potter. while LOTR was epic as hell and i loved it, i was actually genuinely upset when i came to the realization that there wouldnt be another harry potter movie. while with lord of the rings i was like "okay."(though i cant wait for the hobbit.) pic unrelated

To be honest, the best reaction LOTR gave me was "sweet". not really much more then that. though i loved the movies, i liked harry potter more.

I'll admit the Harry Potter series was awesome in how it changed from harmless children's novel to a seven book long epic adventure, and how accurate to the books the movies were, but the LOTR books are really what do it for me.

I havent read the LOTR books. you really have to read them before you watch the movie. and i watched the movies before the books(i was six when the first one came out. give me a break.) so i guess that probably contributed to it.
