I disagree. Summers here can get pretty damn hot. I will admit we don't get great surfing waves, but i've seen people surf on Lake Superior (worlds largest freshwater lake).

I'll have to take you on your word because I've never been to Minnesota. The only reason I said that is because I'm from the North East originally and the water at the Jersey Shore never gets much above 70F so I just assumed Minnesota would be the same or worse since it's further north.
