In the 80s you had to save for months to buy a camera and every picture was worth what you had to pay for the film and develop it. People treated photography with respect until culture experienced a twist with the digital revolution and photographs turned from valued items into worthless amounts of bits

good point. But I would like to think that photography has evolved.
you still have to save up to get a good camera and developing may not be the same [Photoshop and all], but a good photo still takes time and skill. When i see a photo of a lion yawning I see months of work to just take that one photo.

TL/DR crappy cell phone pics =/= the same work as amateur photographers.
