you know what? i realy don't get it, if you hate everyone around you, or think that they are stupid, why don't you go see another crowd?
there must be many people in your area that you can connect with, so saying you just hate everyone, and making it a reason for not going out\meeting new people, that's just lazy, and not very smart, i see these comments every time this subject comes up, just wanted to say what i think.

yes ofcourse i have people around me that i don't hate. and i do go out and 'maybe' meet new people. here's the thing. i'm always surrounded by people, never get some alone time for listening to music or read something i'm always being interrupted

because of that and because i'm a little bit antisocial i tend to hate everything near me, everyone has their reasons. and this i mine.

I assume you aren't shy/anti-social like many of us here, It's not as simple as "going and talking to different people" It sucks for the most part, but it does have a perk every now-and-again.

I'm also lazy and socially awkward but I have the opposite problem. I have friends but I don't want to hang out with them.
They show up my house to get me to go do stuff and I'm like "bugger off, I can't be bothered today"

Almost the same as me, except that, when they call on my cell phone, I pretend I missed the call just cause i'm too lazy to answer them back.

Because of this, I now have a cell phone litterally collecting dust on my desk, and spend 90% of the time at home since I'm too lazy to get up and get a job

I feel the same way, I have like one good friend since highschool and even then I don't feel like hanging out all the time. But everyone else just forgets about me after I'm finished for the day at university.

Social interaction, just like anything else, requires practice. You really need to put yourself into social situations if you want to become less awkward, and, even if you say something totally fucking stupid, then you know what NOT to say. Eventually, over time, you can then develop better social skills and self-confidence.
Trust me, that's how I went from awkward to charismatic.
Oh, and last tip--if you fail or say something stupid, at least be funny about it. For example, try adding these to the end of your social blunders--
"I'll go ahead and shut up now."
"...There was probably a better way of phrasing that."
"Fuck, I'm awkward."
"That was a miss."
In other words, rather than curling up and dying when you do something awkward, either a) acknowledge it for laughs or b) stand by it and pretend it wasn't awkward at all (usually also for laughs).

Also, if you want to become interesting, nothing's holding you back. Find your personal niche or a hobby besides just watching anime, even if it's anime-related. For example, my love for anime actually is what fuels my youtube channel, in which I do one-man-band anime jazz covers. I also
-play hockey
-study Chinese
-can tie a bowtie
-read literature
-etc.
In other words, find yourself some hobbies and skills. BECOME the man you want to be, since nothing's holding you back.

And, lastly, and perhaps most importantly, CONFIDENCE. OOZE confidence, and when you're not confident, pretend you are. Carry yourself with a skip in your step, like you have places to be.
