not too suprising shes not a very fun champ the way she works is very odd

Suppose this is too early in the game to have those abilities. I know for a fact I didn't have the cauterize-style ability for Maya when I went to kill skags.

I think the comic maker might have decided to make a joke on how the game was very indecisive on whether Ned was Zed or Ned was the evil twin brother of Zed.

If you haven't gotten that far in Borderlands 2 and don't want any spoilers then i recommend not reading that comment.

It is a spoiler but really, you could probably run through this game in a single day and that quest is like halfway in. Maybe for people who couldn't afford the game yet but if that is the case, good luck avoiding all the spoiler bound to be plastered over the internets.
