#413 - diroccodoodleedoo (09/26/2012) [-]
Well, that's kind of missing the point. America has always prided itself in being a cultural melting pot. After all, I, and probably American users out there are descended from immigrants. I think the fact that some of the most "American" things aren't even originally American is a good, if not great thing. It shows how diverse we are.

Here, I'll add one of my own,

Apple Pie, the most American Dessert (at least around Thanksgiving), is from England.

I'm english and I live in America. Let me tell you, that's what I love about it.
America is like the entire world's baby, maybe a little spoiled and they hate their parents and uncles (France and England) but that's just 'cause they're young.
They were built by the greatest thing of the greatest cultures in history (with the exception of Rome, Greece, China and Iran).
America is a really good ******* place.
#237 to #180 - John Cena (09/26/2012) [-]
Whoa, you don't speak for me, I absolutely love England and the people went there and everyone was !!GOD! DAMN! KIND!!! (plus our countries are some of the strongest allies. Probably because of the similar cultures, religion, government, and us speaking the same language can't hurt). As for the French, well, we hate each other. I was in the US Navy btw. All over Europe. Pretty adventurous Times.
User avatar #253 to #180 - thebestpieever (09/26/2012) [-]
Another thing. I once read that the reason why America's human version is Uncle Sam
is because America was built by people from other nations (meaning other fathers) and now Uncle Sam has adopted them.
Is that true?
