It is the Executor, constructed by the Empire under the supervision of Darth Vader prior to the battle of Yavin 4. It is seen under construction in the game "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" but in the movies not until the fifth.

for the tl;dr,

in space, there is no straight lines cause of obstacles. so the fastest ship would be the one who took the shortest route. the milenium falcon is able to get closer to black holes than other ships, so it could make the kessel run in 12 parsecs, whereas other ships may have to use 13 or 15 parecs to complete the run
