He became a vegetarian after attending the autopsy of a girlfriend
She killed herself after being actively pursued by Hitler. He was grief stricken, and felt compelled to attend the autopsy. Afterwards, he refused to eat meat, and took every opportunity to ruin meat for others.

Gah I am sick of this.
That Hitler was a vegeterian is a well known fact, people claiming he was range from Hitler's cook to letters Hitler himself wrote talking about how much more healthy vegeterianism is.
Only "proof" that he wasn't started appearing in the 80ies by vegeterian "historians" that were trying to "prove" either that he ate meat, or that he was only doing it on doctor's orders.
We even have Winston ************* Churchill writing in his letters how he does not understand how any country can follow a pansy who won't eat steak.

TL;DR: He went on short streaks of vegetarianism, due to his stomach issues. He was not a full time vegetarian.

Have you noticed the SOURCE of the article?
the source for this article comes from vegsource dot com.
Its, exactly as I said, vegeterian "historians" making **** up to explain how he wasn't.
So I call ******** .

"Does this mean anything to us today? Nope. Opponents of vegetarianism or atheism are always pointing to Hitler as an example "proving" how wrong-headed those philosophies are, but it's just meaningless talk. I just pointed out that Hitler was actually a meat-eating Catholic. Does that mean that all meat eaters and Catholics are evil? Of course not.

Hitler spoke German, too. Does that mean all German-speaking people are evil? Of course not."

A direct quote from the article

If it doesn't matter, why do vegeterian "historians" spending so much energy trying to "prove" he was a meat eater?
I'll tell you why. Because to vegetarians its not a choice, its nearly a religion. Vegetarians are nicer, better, people, spiritually superior.
Its all ******** , and the idiotic thesis falls apart when you show that evil, morally corrupt people can be vegetarians just as easily.
Does that make vegetarians as evil as Hitler? Hell no. But it does prevent them to take a moral high ground and claim they are morally and spiritually superior to us "eaters of the dead"

Fact of the matter is reputable historians have used something called evidence to prove Hitler WAS a vegetarian. From his chef, from his closest advisors from his own freaking letters.
That is a FACT. It doesn't make vegetarianism any better or worse. It really does not.
But I am sick of people trying to change history so it would fit their worldview better.

He's right, Hitler did have a love for animals (I did a research paper on him)

Well, Hitler was an accomplished whistler
He experimented briefly with playing the harmonica and flute, and sang occasionally, but whistling was his best talent. If that changes your mind about him.
