Hippos are more deadly than gators, crocodiles, and sharks. And bears don't kill very many people either.

I think the deadliest one was a fly that that was spreading malaria .

well its not so much a matter of the hippo specifically trying to kill people, they're just enormously territorial and put that much instinct to keep outsiders out behind the hippo's huge size and its like a group of bulldozers with a tendency to attack people. to top it off though, they arent slow like you'd expect, those fuckers can haul ass when they want to
