That isn't anything specific to "'murica" Now, I am completely ok with satirical remarks directed to any country, but your comment was simply stupidity embodied.

I never denied that there wasn't already violence drugs and law-breaking..but it wasn't just in the ghettos. And white people were looting just as much as black people were. I would know. I was there for it. And yes, as Americans, we do have a tendency to be less community-minded than other countries. Because, for some unknown reason, we seem to have a mentality that helping other people means that you're socialist.

Besides, my point in saying "Americans gonna 'murica" was that the image was comparing the Japanese disaster relief effort to the American one, so singling out black people from within our disaster situation is an inaccurate comparison. So before you go about accusing other people of stupidity, check your own logic.

Ahh my good sir, an excellent rebuttal, if I might offer one of my own along the lines of that whilst America might as a whole be less empathetic with others in our community I don't believe that we are so entrenched in a anti socialist "Red Scare" that population is less community minded than other countries to a large degree, yet one thing that I must point out is that were these two extremes within the context of extreme situations and in communities not rife with violence the American response would have been similar to the Japanese one

And I can honestly agree with you on that. Had this happened in a community not already suffering from a great deal of criminal activity, the American response may have been greater. I had intended my "Americans/ 'murica" comment to simply reflect the statement of Japan as I felt the specific mention of black people was inaccurate, not to imply that all areas of America would have been this way. I can easily see where this would have been the interpretation. So please..allow me the opportunity to offer a few other possible captions:
