I know I'm reading way too much into it when I say this, but when he said "my nose will grow 'now'", and it didn't grow when he said 'now', it turns out that he lied. The instant after the instant that 'now' referred to, his nose started growing. Not a paradox, see?

Nope, I've never played it. I have friends that do, but I've never bothered to learn. But I used to play yugioh, and it was kind of like this.

I am slightly grasping the concept of your comment, but would it be a paradox if instead of saying my nose will grow now, he said my nose will grow in 5 seconds?

The same thing will happen. If it doesn't grow within those 5 seconds because of a separate lie, at the instant following the instant that marks the 5 seconds passing, his nose will start to grow.
