Why does everyone complain about how hard they are to fly?

First time playing I got in a jet and flew around the whole game doing maneuvers.

Granted it is difficult to get kills, but killing jets is easyish.

Well don't get me wrong, the Banshee is fucking easy as shit, and is also OP as shit.

The jet was designed so it wouldn't be super OP unless you were good I suppose, but it's pretty simple, down for up, up for down, just like a real jet.

change to lefty south-paw you control the pitch and roll with the left stick and the yaw with the right stick, accelerate with R2 and decelerate with L2 (assuming you play consoles)

The problem isn't even that they're hard to fly they're just horribly balanced. Getting into one is voluntarily murdering your k/d because 90% of the time the guy you're killing will jump out or straight up slam into the ground to take the kill away from you. If you shoot down 10 jets you'd be lucky to get 1 kill.

Then there's the complete garbage lock on system were everyone and their mom can spam you with heat seekers and make your life a living hell. You used to be able to dodge the missiles if you were good, but DICE patched it because "it gave skilled players an advantage" (actual quote, I shit you not). Now you can fly like Tom Cruise and still get killed by a 9 year old spamming heat seekers from orbit with an apache.

Hey mate,I played both games and I liked them,yes,both of them. Though,I prefer Battlefield 3 more as it puts you in a somewhat much more branching battlefield and not something that seems to be a special ops mission like in CoD. You can call your air support in CoD,yes,but in Battlefield 3 you can be that air support. Nontheless,BF3 also has this important aspect where teamwork really is required to win.

Personally, I think that BF3 is fun because you have more choices. You can go snipe, mortar, drive, and have fun.

BF3 is an amazing game, but that doesn't mean you won't get bored of it.

For me, after playing BF3, it was hard playing any other FPS games, so I've stopped. It's been two months since I've turned on my PS3.

Im a [4] Battlefield vetl, and have been playing for a while.
From a professionals standpoint id say the beautiful aspect about the game is Teamwork. COD is just all-around gunplay imo and ive played all but MW3 as well.
If you want a game where you feel like your actually fiighting, Battlefields the way to go. And my personal favorite is Badco 2: Vietnam. because it feels straight up like your in the shit. But Have a wallpaper.

Its 10$ now in some countries. Its a good game but they dont fix many bugs and they are mostly just money garrbing idiots.

Battlelog is one feature in which you can join platoons, create them, alter your loadout and dogtags from the computer and go through ALL of your statistics including longest headshot distance. Another note, You can't just put your cross-hairs directly on somebody, you have to lead your bullets and compensate for bullet drop when sniping. When you use a certain class, use it right. If you're an Assault throw down the bloody medkit and revive like a motherfucker. When playing support throw down the ammo box and suppress the shit out of enemy positions. Engineer, you see a vehicle, destroy that motherfucker ASAP. Recon, put your spawn beacon in tactically sound positions and throw down your TUGS unit or SOFLAM when on large maps, use your MAV for games like Rush.

Team work or die.

It only feels more realistic. In real life you wouldn't be able to jump out of a jet just before it hits the ground and take no damage.

Im not saying its exactly like real life, but its more then CoD, where you take bullets like youre a tank, kill someone by stabbing them once in the foot, and use no teamwork and still win

This is like 90% confirmed information, but not sure if true. In Aftermath there will be 8 new guns, two of them pistols. One is the USP and the other the SSP. (I searched SSP and it's an underwater pistol, not sure how that's gonna work, but, whatever.) If you want more info just reply.

Not too much information, but it's juicy. The maps will be in sewers, underground bunkers, skyscrapers, and ships all heavily damaged by an earthquake inspired by the campaign missions. Heavily modified military and civilian vehicles, (another source says there won't be any new vehicles, so they're probably just tricked out vehicles all ready in the game.) New achievements and trophies, dogtags, and the most awesome one I think, a new game mode.
