I think they meant that the sound wouldn't have even reached them. As in, no one would have heard the shots because the sound dampened to such a degree that they wouldn't have heard a bang. Basically no need for a silencer, at least thats what i got from it.

Saw a cool documentary on the longest sniper kills on discovery or history or some shit like that. Apparently he missed a couple of times and hit by their feet and they didn't even notice.

I think I watched the same thing.....he hit the ground with the first shot and followed the trail left by the bullet through the air to aim for the second shot or something like that??

i thought the bullet slowed down and the sound catch up and passed the bullet at that distance but then again that is pretty far away so the sound would have died by then. someone correct me please i'd like to know

nah haha, Im an aircrew chief. I basically fly in the back of a ch-56 on a mounted LMG. Im waiting for MARSOC (Marine Special Ops) to come around for selection and thats where ill be going next hopefully. Its basically a step underneath Recon
