Edison stole Tesla's idea of the lightbulb, as many other things.

Actually, the lightbulb was around before both Edison and Tesla, Arc lamps were the most common and utilized two carbon diodes which had a high voltage high ampere arc flowing across them, similar to a lightning bolt. The incandescent light bulb was not stolen from tesla, and though he did take advantage of a widow for the patent he personally did a lot of work experimenting with different materials to get it to work.
