I'm pretty sure the joke is that the top of the screw looks like all the others ones (the part they can see)

But the part behind the podium (that they can't see) is different.

Everyone seems to think it's just a pun about screws...

The public are all screws, and the politician on the podium, although he has the same top as them, his bottom half is the screwdriver bit, implying that politics/politicians screw the people

because my parents make "too much" i can only take out 6,500 dollars in student loans. i need about 21,000 a year to pay for college. also because of the poor economy privet loans are ridiculous; the interest rates in privet loans (which i could get) are about 14% meaning if i did get out a privet loan i would be in even more debt.

almost everyone needs student loans i agree. but 90,000 a year is not enough to pay for 84,000 of college over the course of 4 years. if my parents had all of our debt payed off, no mortgage, no car payments, no credit card debt then yes 90k a year would be enough, but that's not the case =[

You do realize Obama doesn't control things like that right? Congress does. And student loans are there for a reason, if your parents can't afford all of it just be ******* grateful that they're there to help you, get a job and start saving as much as you possibly can. I've been in college for 4 years now without any help from any of my family and it's a bitch... but I'm not even middle class, I'm well below the poverty line, Me and my mother always have been.

you're being pretty hostile about things you've assumed. first, i do have a job, second, my parents are choosing NOT to pay for any of my college but because i still live with them i am restricted by rules as if they WERE paying for me. so my parent's aren't there to help me because they think it will make me a better adult and i don't disagree with that. MY income from my job is 8,000 a year so i too am in your position. Yes i realize obama doesn't directly control those things but he and his kim jongistration aren't helping.

My apologies, the way you worded it before made it sound different than your actual predicament and that's pretty ****** of your parents IMO. But still, his kim jongistration can't do anything with anything until it gets through to him first. Now if it was stated that something did manage to get out of Congress's greedy, dirty clutches and he did send it back. I'd be a little upset too. But as it stands now, he hasn't really done anything to hurt anything. After all, it takes several years for the effects of any president to be seen, So in reality we're probably not going to see any difference made by Obama until about 6 or 8 years really.

if you look below i said i disagree with some of his student loan policies...either way i am in debt. BUT obama is doing nothing to fix the economy which in turn lowers privet loan rates which in turn helps me. federal loans will always be horrible and useless; privet loans WERE the way to go but aren't anymore thanks to this recession. obama's economic policies won't help me or anyone else. also, i never said i hated him; he's a human being who deserves to be treated as such. i just don't agree with his policies is all and, in a crude sense, he has screwed me over.

This new generation agrees with it completely, and that was the sense of security that Obama gave us. I think we just need to focus on the people right now. And don't get all pissed because yeah, I know, the economy sucks. But its an economic cycle. Recession>Rebuild>Prosperity>Recession. **** will work it self out. Its math.
