Will someone explain why we put so much significance on 9/11?

11 years ago, some radical terrorists attacked the world trade centers in new york, killing a bunch of people. thus, became a tradition here in 'merica to "never forget" about the innocent lives that were lost. And apparently the rest of the world thinks we're still crying about it from what I see on a bunch of these posts. Then there are the idiots that pretty much defend 9/11 who are still crying about the lives lost.
It's war, shit happens.

It's called, " we can't move on".

No, that's called idiocy.

It's okay to mourn and be sad and all that, but thinking you can't move on is just idiocy.
Look at the jews, they got hit a lot harder. You know what they did? MOVED ON.

I know what happened. I just don't know why I'm supposed to care.

Have you seen the videos of people jumping from 80 stories high because that had to choose between that or burning to death? That'll change you.

I just don't care, and don't see why others do. Its a stupid pride thing and we all know it.

Lets just get back to the 30's with steam tractors and new stuff.

People die every day. Why is it any different?

THANK YOU

You're not, it's in the past. People need to learn to get over it and stop milking it 11 years afterwards, this is coming from an amerifag, too.

Everyone at my school made a big deal about it today.

My college class did too, he was like, "lets close our eyes and take a moment to remember those that lost their lives 11 years ago."
I was so tempted to be like, "screw you guys, i'm goin home"

It was the day that the news interrupted a DBZ episode of when Goku was turning SSJ vs Freeza here and pissed off basically everyone that was watching the episode. No idea why USA puts that much significance to it tho.

I see, I too would be upset if I missed an episode of my favorite anime.

Don't understand why FJ likes cartoons like FMA and DBZ so much.

They're just cartoons.

Because they're fucking awesome. I'm not much of a DBZ fan myself, though. I prefer Death Note.

Nonetheless it was the episode of Goku's first real SSJ transformation. (re-run but still epic moment)
