Making a good password:
1) Find something you like. Let's say football.
2) Make a small sentence using it.
i love the packers
3) Now use proper grammar. Capitalization and punctuation make strong passwords.
I love the Packers!
4) Now we need a number somewhere. Well that's easy.
I love the 49ers!
4a) I don't like the 49ers.
I hate the 49ers!
5) Now we need to guard against a dictionary attack. That's when the hacker tries dictionary words. A basic defense is to use an uncommon word.
I abhor the 49ers!
6) Your password is now plenty strong while still being VERY easy to remember. You can make it even stronger by using 1337-speak, using homonyms, randomly dropping vowels/spaces, and adding unneeded punctuation.
I ab-wh0re zeh49'ers!
That password is for all intents and purposes "uncrackable" but can be super easily remembered.
