well, the muzzle blast of large guns such as this is far louder than the sonic boom of the projectile, so this would significantly reduce noise. Also, they did this because the residents near the test range were complaining about the loud noises. Maybe they should have though about that before they moved in RIGHT NEXT TO A FUCKING ARTILLERY TEST RANGE!

camo doesn't make you invisible. if that was in a field (most likely would have to be, since you couldn't get that into a forest). it would be hard too see to an untrained eye. I'm not saying that I would be able to, or a jet pilot would, but if you add in the thermal output that thing must be putting out, any helicopter pilot/gunner would be able to see it.
