I have to say, I think Buddhism is more a philosophy than a religion.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but Buddhists don't worship a deity, and isn't that a requirement for a religion?

This is what logic and reason combined with religion looks like, and dammit it is beautiful.

I live in a city that has a majority of the people practising Buddhism. They are by far the easiest people to co-exist with, seeing how they do not give a flying fuck what religion other people are and they NEVER EVER try and convert you to their faith. They just leave you the fuck alone to let you practice your own beliefs.

Buddhism really can't be proven wrong, it's mostly a philosophy. Which is why it can co-exist with any religion, and science.

I've been studying Buddhism a bit this week, from a non-religious point of view, it sounds like the most logical religion, I actually agree with a lot of it's ideas and philosophy.

If Science proves something in the Bible wrong, Christianity must re-interpret what the Bible means. A true Christian will realize that based on the idea that God is perfect, there cannot be a contradiction between the Bible and God's creation.

In general, people believe what they think will make them happy. Many will outright refuse evidence or logical argument that would disprove their beliefs simply because they are ignorant or afraid.

It is those that who aren't ignorant (on any given subject), as Dalai Lama is an example of, that are able to accept reality as they see it, even if it could change or be wrong.
