that was the worst game i ever played, by the end of it my opponent hit me with about 100+ slivers, it was brutal

I run a sliver deck. My friend runs an Arcbound deck. Games last on average around 5 rounds. XD if they last longer than that, then it's a bad running of our decks.

hey I stopped playing a few years ago, but I want to play again. Hows the online deal nowadays? (I used to play only on FNM and that sort)

I'm not really sure what you're asking, sense that question is phrased weird, but online is pretty much the best thing ever. Events still cost the same entry fee as in real life, but cards are worth less online generally. That means you can build decks cheaper, but you also lose more money on booster drafting. That being said, every time I have extra money, I end up staying up all night drafting and wasting all my money. I would recommend it if you have the money to spare.

Return to Ravnica is coming out so yes you can, there is an entire guild that is based around Red Black.

A guild is a group of people/creatures who basically worship two specific colours of magic, go here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ravnica:_City_of_Guilds for more info.

Oh, I'd prefer to be able to keep one deck and always be able to use it, instead of having it rotated out to being banned after a year or so.

ya, thats going to be beast for alot of people, i personally play a mono white angel deck, 3 platinum angels in it with things to give me shroud and the angels indestructible

I ran a b/w angel/human/demon/vampire deck but I think I left it at Sentry Box My friendly local gaming hub so I build a pure M13 G/B deck that runs fairly well even though I don't have all the cards I need for it.

i have a fair few i like including avacyn my bf got for it recently, i also have akromas memorial, and aegis angel in my sideboard with a couple of o rings

O-rings are apparently a must, I don't quite remember what Aegis angel is. What do you think of Return to Ravnica? any guild you like?

i havent looked too much into that really, mostly because i like my deck the way it is and as of yet its my only one, i leave the deck building to my bf and his friends

You should learn to build your own decks, it is pretty fun and you get to look into the mechanics of the game and cards more. Also any tips of getting one of my female friends to play magic? I have invited her to the game nights once but she didn't really accept or decline.

well if you have a ton of cards see if theres something shes interested in, my bf enticed me with the "angels" theme after he had me pick a color "white, but say shes into cats build something around that, my favorite thing is finding the truely stunning lands that the artists come up with, i especially love all the islands

You should check out the Zendikar lands, they have some of the best art and are full card.

because i use a mono white deck i really only get to see lands when other people use them, sometimes when my oppenent plays a land if it stikes me ill ask them if i can see it

my favorite plains land set is actually from lorwyn, but i have sporadic favorite plains from other sets

Apparently some one on ebay is selling Foil lorwyn lands with "hot anime babes" painted on them, I'm glad I had no family in the room...

i dont really like the fake or "made" lands, i dont even really go for tokens that are like that, i know it wouldnt really matter with the tokens but i guess its just preference

Funny thing on that, my friend is planning on making a My Little Pony deck so he deinked quite a few cards, not quite sure how long till he actually makes the deck.

I like Elixers... they are very fun.

Try it in a reanimator deck. When you play it, you discard expensive creatures from your hand, and then bring them back from the dead using cards like reanimate, or zombify.

The set that this card is from, Dissension, has a machanic called Hellbent. Hellbent spells become more potent when you have zero cards in hand. This is obviously synergistic with that ability. You may want to try digging up some of the black and red cards from that set if you can find them, or try finding an old Rakdos (Black and Red aligned guild from the set) starter deck. It's really tricky, but fun, to play it right.
