Mostly older bolt action rifles. WWI or WWII Era.

I'm afraid you have been slightly misinformed. Clips are used to load magazines, whether internal or removable. That is all. They are still used widely around the world by militarys and by gun owning civilians.

Occasionally, an old pistol will use a clip but it's a dead technology only used when using the older style rifles.

Bullets don't stay in the clip. The clip is used to load a fixed magazine.

Because all of about 5 guns ever made use a clip while in the chambering and firing process, most of them being expensive collectors pieces. It's simple probability.

I hate /k/ because it's a "WEAPONS" board. mostly I see threads about guns or military/military-politics. not about different kinds of weapons.

Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE GUNS! but I never see threads about things like knuckle dusters, swords, axes, spiked gauntlets. etc. sure there is the odd knife thread every once in a while, but it's usually about tactical folders and the like.
