Apparently it is pronounced "hyoo". I like my way better.

I thought it was "hyoo" at first, but then I heard an actual Brazilian pronounce it as "hway" so I just go with that now.

I like "hwe" better because it was what I originally called it and it just sounds natural.

I think of it this way. A gentleman should not engage in conflict of any nature. If a drunken buffoon insults the mans honour, the man should calmly dismiss this brute. If his family is insulted or his friends names befouled, he must not engage the ruffian.

HOWEVER, should the hooligan assault the gentleman, the gentleman must quickly dispatch of him without causing more harm than necessary. If a woman is to assaults a man with the intent of causing great harm, then self defence would be necessary.

The short version being, only fight when you are in immediate danger.

I would only hit a woman in self defence (like if she's coming at me with a knife to kill me or something).

But then again I would probably the who gets arrested because society loves their double standards.

I'd bet if that situation happened to me the police would probably say "Oh you hit her? I know she was about to kill you but you shouldn't hit women".

Look at my #143 comment. The reason I placed a whole paragraph line, or line breaker if you are american, Is because it was two different point. The "that's my reaction now" is about FJ not picking up my own comment as a joke - the second half is my opinion on the 'women' on Jersey Shore. I suppose I could've worded it better.

I'm not too upset. I suppose I understand that it wasn't deemed funny, afterall the red thumb is for "Junk", however I would love to hear what is deemed "unacceptable" on Funnyjunk when most comments in contents are: "I'm going to hell for that", AdmitOneHell.jpeg, "That guy is a cunt", "She's a dumb bitch".

And I misread your other comment, I thought you said it was inappropriate AND not funny. Also most people just thumb down almost anything with red thumbs regardless of what it's saying. I know this because I tend to do it to; on a normal day I don't take my time to consider the other person's point of view. I mean how can I? I can't see them, hear them, smell them, touch then and I sure as hell don't want to taste them. All I see before me is my inanimate computer. I can't see the other person's point of view so I assume it's bad and I thumb down. Just like any other average man.
