Well after some masterful photoshop and close examination I have found it is not the contrast. It is the shading around the eyes that gets it for me. In the right of this photo (girl one) it looks like the eyelashes are thicker and like there is a bit of makeup on the face and more detail/smoothness to the skin creating a more feminine appearance. While on the left it's more flat and broad and plain showing more of a masculine appearance.

The picture on the left has more contrast between the lips and skin and the area around the eyes and skin, implying make up.
So i'm allowed to fap to the one on the left? Or neither? I don't get it....
I don't know what everyone else is seeing... but, they both look like dudes to me...

Not that amazing OP, the different contrast lends the left picture paler, fairer skin with redder lips - typically female features.
Not to be an asshole or russle any jimmies, but I've also noticed that female's lips tend to be a little darker, and mens tend to be a little lighter, as is with the photo as well. That's part of what made me come to the conclusion.
