I can think of a couple of things, for example it could be that by some twist of plot the specific word "boy" is indeed a significant portion of the sentence. Other than that, there's a lot of ocd people out (myself included) there that can't stand something out of place or incorrect.
Then you should've been raging hard when people were saying "Then I took an arrow to the knee" when the real line is "IN the knee". And no, it didn't change the sentence at all. If the movie had said Well, it would not have made it any less or any more funny.
