The word "female gamer" is incredibly unnecessary.

A recent poll found that 47% of people who play video games are female.

You're not unique, you're not a special snowflake, and you're not "not like the other girls." (This is coming from a female who occasionally plays video games casually but who wouldn't call themselves a gamer by any means).

You wouldn't say refer to yourself as a "female gardener" or "female movie-enthusiast." Stop attaching the "female" handle onto gamer.
