The word "female gamer" is incredibly unnecessary.
A recent poll found that 47% of people who play video games are female.
You're not unique, you're not a special snowflake, and you're not "not like the other girls." (This is coming from a female who occasionally plays video games casually but who wouldn't call themselves a gamer by any means).
You wouldn't say refer to yourself as a "female gardener" or "female movie-enthusiast." Stop attaching the "female" handle onto gamer.

I immediately switch off when someone says they're a gamer girl. No, you're a gamer, or your not, your gender has nothing to do with the title. Do guys try to impress women by saying 'I'm a cooking/chef guy' or get extra attention for saying 'lol, I'm a hairdresser man'. Gender has nooooothing to do with it. Enjoy the games or fuck off.

Definition of gamer:
A person who plays a game or games, typically a participant in a computer or role-playing game.
Farmville is a game. The Sims 3 is a game. Therefore they are technically gamers, though I hate the girls who brag about it just so men like them.

Hey guy's, I'm an expert 1337 gamer and play all of these awesome games. Since I am such an awesome gamer, nobody is allowed to claim to be one without meeting my requirements. Especially girls, they are NEVER, I mean NEVER allowed to claim to be a gamer. Cause girls aren't real gamers, lolololol, everybody knows that.

Yeah, this is why females feel the need to bring up the fact that they play games, becuase males mock the idea. I know, I know, it's the attention-seekers you hate, but then when people say "Now that's bull****, I'm a girl and I enjoy hardcore games" you still take it out on them. I'd suggest
a) If you're wasting time locating and harrassing supposed 'girl gamers' you clearly have too much time when you're not gaming, so you're probably a casual.
b) Stop calling them 'girl gamers' and they'll stop calling themselves it
c) If they want to join in the misery of having no social life, let them. If they aren't true gamers at heart, they'll get distracted by some new fad before the month is out, so don't get so worked up
