Moralfag here. No children should ever be punished physically. It gives you manners and dicipline? **** that, it's horrible and makes me sick.

Out of the few kids from my elementary school that got beaten, none of them ever made it to high school (in Norway). Most are now either pushing drugs or are welfare applicants. Except from one. Last i saw from him was a picture on facebook of him holding an AK47 in the mountains of pakistan. I am seriously not kidding.

Yeah, no one in prison has been beaten by their parents! That definitely wouldn't make them more aggressive and likely to attack someone and get arrested.

I was never hit as a child

because I was raised by actual good parents that didn't have to resort to violence to answer all of their problems.

Guess what maddafacka. I've never been beaten, hardly ever punished. I got straight A's till high school, kept a pretty good record afterwards. Never done drugs, don't smoke, barely ever drink. My worst crime is driving 30 km/h over the limit.

Smart parents can teach their children to be good, not beat it in them...

My parents never hit us with objects, they used their hands. I remember one of my most vivid memories was one night when my dad was spanking me for something I don't remember, at one point he stopped and told me;"You know, this hurts me more than it hurts you." I felt bad and looked up to him with hopeful eyes and asked "Really?" At which point he explained "Yeah, it hurts my hand." And continued to beat my ass.
Ah, fond memories.

I bet most of the people in jail were actually spanked. It's not some miracle solving agency that saves you from being a bad parent. It actually often turns you into one.

what the **** ? i know this isnt the place to discuss this but why the hell would you have to beat children to raise them in a good way. i´ve never been beaten by my parents and still i´d concider myself as a well educated man. Sure you can´t always let your child do whatever he wants but physically hurt them? no thanks.
i whink the main aspect is to show your kids that you loe them and show them how to behave.
and sorry for bad english, not my main language

There are actually ways of disciplining children that don't involve hurting them. Punishing them that way could just screw them up more.
#8 to #7 - dirtybuffalo (08/28/2012) [-]
yeah...if your a faggot. Parents have been physically disciplining their kids for generations now this generation which has had little discipline has turned into a bunch of greedy little ********* and i wish i could smack every single one of their parents on the face
