Tangible assets mean actual money to be spent, not shares or anything else concerning the worth of a company, and this data might be outdated, but last time i heard anything about that it was an estimated 140 billion US dollars

They're 'worth' 500Billion i've read and this include shares.

so by shares dropping, this will result in huge decreases in the companies worth.

You don't seem to be readin what i'm saying, i'm talking about money on the bank, ready to be spent NO other assets, the balance on your bank are YOUR tangible assets, your house/car or w/e are your liquid assets, they are worth something but you don't actually have that money which also include shares

lol don't worry this is a fake story anyway ( the post ) I don't even understand how people think that samsung would actually just give them a billion dollars just like that.. and even manage to round up 20 billion nickels..

To make it worse some of the reasons they won is because the phones use pinching to zoom and because the shape of the phones. Apple apparently owns shapes now.

Cant say I blame them. Apple is a very specialized company, and they cant afford to see a drop in iPhone popularity. Were they to be sued and iPhones taken off the shelves (because they did just as much stealing to make it as everyone else) the entire company would crumble almost overnight.

Apple needs to keep their market undiluted if they want to stay on top. You can question whether this is moral, but they are within their rights to do so.

Who knows? Maybe we will see some actual innovation in the smartphone market for once.
