You know.. You're allowed to drink soda or water. Rumor has it that they're toastable. You should try it!

I personally think that the most awkward thing that happens regularly at family gatherings is when your family is singing happy birthday to you and your not sure what to do so you sing a couple words and then wonder why you're singing to yourself so you start just looking at people, but that's even worse so you just stare at the cake until the song ends. Then when everyone starts to clap you do to until you wonder why you're clapping for yourself and you just sit there again feeling awkward.

Clink your glass. It doesn't matter if it's contents are alcoholic or not

In my country you're allowed to drink beer since you get 16

also it's considered normal to let 13-15 years old kids drink some wine during family dinners, sometimes

I don't like drinking alcohol. I prefer water to most beverages, honestly.

Whenever this happened to me, I'd just raze my hand as though I had a glass, then drink it like a boss

My parents let me toast with alcohol. Nothing is going to happen to you from a single glass of champagne, or wine.

Toast with your non-alcoholic beverage? A soda/water/juice?
