He DIDN'T.
Jack is from the past originally, like feudal japan era...maybe.
At the end of his journey, he probably went back and raised a family.
(by the way this is purely speculation, samurai jack never even got a real conclusion,there was supposed to be a movie directed by the original creator but it never happened...YET!)

No, PPG is the present at the same time of Samurai Jack, but Jack was from the past.
After defeating Aku, he found a way to return to his time, and in this new timeline he created, monsters still walked the earth. So him, with his powers weakened, used the resolve of creating "three perfect little girls" and "accidentally" adding the chemical X to create the three warriors which would substitute him.
