Heres the thing, Tolkiens world is really amazing and all, but thats just it its completely a fantasy world, something we have in no way any connection to, where with harry potter its set in a world we understand and relate to, there's a fantasy aspect to it but one that we can see as being possibly real, where with things like LOTR its set in a world that has no connection to ours in anyway, so its not really something children can relate to or can in someway hope to be part of where with harry potter, there are children who dont even know they are "Wizards" until they turn a certain age so small children can hope and hold onto the belief that they can be part of this fantasy world, where with LOTR nobody wants to have shit to do with Sauron or Melkor cause they will fuck your shit up.
