Animal owners in Japan can wash
their cats and dogs in specially
designed washing machines at pet
supermarkets. The machines, which
are claimed to be entirely safe, give
them a shampoo, a rinse and a dry

A Chinese woman rocked an
abandoned bear cub to sleep each
night and put him in diapers so that
