I'm an Atheist, but that doesn't mean I turn to science to explain everything. Being an Atheist simply means I do not have a Religion. I don't really think that we need to understand why everything happens.

Actually, not having a religion is Agnosticism. Atheism is the belief that there is no god, or afterlife.
