Actually, the line of time is the fourth dimension.
Let me explain. We start with a point: an imaginary singularity that represents a point in space. It does not belong to any dimension. When two points connect, they form the 1st dimension: a line. When two lines connect, they form the 2nd dimension: the plane. When two planes perpendicularly intersect in space, they form the third dimension.
That's all simple stuff. See how it all revolves on the position of lines?
The line that connects a 3-dimensional object from two different points in time is the 4th dimension. So the "timeline", if you will, that connects you from 5 seconds ago to you now is the 4th dimension.
tl;dr Time is a line. This line is the 4th dimension.

Sounds sorta like string theory at second glance...
I personally think string theory is bullshit.

"....that time is not a line from a non-linear viewpoint"
well no shit
well no shit
I only have one question
WHY THE FUCK IS THIS NOT IN THE DR WHO CHANNEL
WHY THE FUCK IS THIS NOT IN THE DR WHO CHANNEL
time line? guh! time is not made out of lines, it is made out of circles, that is why clocks are round
