The male latex condom typically has about a 85 percent effectiveness.
"The Pill" has about a 92 percent effectiveness.

The current most effective birth-control is Implanon, a sub-dermal implant. It's actually more effective than male or female sterilization (vasectomy and hysterectomy).

It's not really birth control, because you're not having sex. don't care what anyone says. It's like cheating when it comes to "birth control".

Care to enlighten me? From what I know, in vasectomy some important links get severed, so how does that leave any chance?

Typically, it has to do with an improper sealing of the vas deferens after they're cut, so they end up healing back together. It could be a few other issues, but I think that's the biggest one.
