Isn't that sort of what red dead revolver was? Don't quote me on that though I'm not 100% sure

Red Dead Revolver was about a dude named "Red" , some gang attacked his ranch , killed his family or something like that . I don't remember if it involved john marston at any point.

Long story short, Kid named Red's dad comes back home. Bandits come to home kill red's family and he sees killer with Scorpion revolver like his dad's, only 2 exist in the world.. Grows up to become a bounty hunter while also looking for dad's killer. Kills lots of badies and meets a lot of good people.

But in short John has nothing to do with it, other than him and Red looking a lot alike. Maybe he was a relative or something. RDRevolver also took place during the Civil War era, at least with the union still around.

Okay, okay I was trying to tame DEATH ITSELF when I ran right into a zombie horde. They pulled me off my horse and an epic battle ensured. That was, until an undead bear AND undead cougar crashed the party. I was mauled by the cougar from behind when I tried give the bear his lead shots.
