Haha this actually made me laugh. However, due to the ignorant comments being made below, I found it important to respond.
America has invested more money into restoring Iraq than we could possibly get from its "oil". Which btw is MINISCULE compared to the vast sums we have right under our feet in the U.S. That, coupled with the damage the conflict has done to US international relations, the loss of public confidence, etc shows it is simply not worth it.
And even if you think it was the "evil" oil companies that send us to war, then you should realize US oil companies managed to buy/rent Iraq oil and oil facilities for a marked discount during occupation. Which is not a big enough discount worth invading (millions of profit vs billions in expenses). More importantly, the US has close relations with OPEC which provides much cheaper rates. Your argument simply isn't logical.
