Actually a soldier who worked with him saw him get shot in the testicles with a gun accident. You're right that there is no proof that he was left with one, but he was shot there. Also, after the accident, the other soldiers nicknamed Hitler 'Screamer', because he screamed so much when he was shot in the balls.
