what the fuck is with everyone on this site and Hopsin? he's not the only one bringing it back! he's not even the best one in hiphop/rap right now he's far from it to be exact! Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q, Lupe Fiasco, Childish Gambino, Action Bronson, Danny Brown?! those are just a few rappers who are bringing hiphop back and are better than Hopsin.

The FACT is that hopsin is more popular than any of those people you named, except maybe lupe fiasco. And that's the only fact here, the only empirical evidence we have to go on. For you to say any one rapper is better than any other and call it a fact is truly ignorant.
Look up the word "subjective," and maybe you'll know what I'm talking about.

just because someone is popular does not make them good. look at lil b for example he is god awful but you will be surprised by the amount of fans he even has...not only that Kendrick Lamar, Danny Brown, Ab-Soul, and Childish Gambino at this point are more popular than Hopsin and they are good...just saying.

You seem to have missed my point entirely.
You say "lil b" is god awful. That's your opinion, and that's fine. But his countless other fans would disagree with you.
And you may be right about all those others being more popular, but my overall point was that, in order to say someone is good, and have it be a fact, the ONLY thing we have to go on is their fanbase. I am not saying more fans makes you good, just that there is no other way to measure "goodness."

Oh I'm a Lil B fan and I know he is god awful haha. It's really his message about being based is what I'm a fan of and he makes the type of music that "hypebeasts" like me enjoy. Only to a degree though. Also there is a way to measure "goodness". How would you rate/measure Lil Wayne as an artist lyrically?
