I abused Shadowmere to level up Destruction...Magicka regeneration and then some low Destruction spell and I kept burning it until I leveled up...I am a horrible person :D

Elder Scrolls IV id kill Shadowmere, store some shit in it, wait for it to get up and ride off into the sunset.

I love the physics in this game.

Fall a certain height and lose no health. fall 1 inch lower than that and die instantly.

i have no idea how to get shadowmere, so i keep buying 1000 dollar horses because they are disposable to me.

Tip: If shadowmere dies and you don't wanna load a save, wait 10 days and go back to the spot he died and he should be resurrected.

i figured it out. he is immune to magic and stamina damage. his invincibility kicks in faster or more often if you hit him with a magic weapon in combat.

I remember the old, badass Oblivion Shadowmere. He was my trusty steed. I would ride him into battle. He was there with me at Bruma. When I was tired he would carry me from place to place, helped me with my magical studies. We would be taking our time, going at a slow pace, just Shadowmere me. He helped me escort Martin to the Imperial City. I kept him til my dying day. I sent Shadowmere away, to find a new master.

200 years years later, when the Dragonborn emerged from all others, Shadowmere had found a new master. He accompanied him in his travels in Skyrim. He was with him during the Civil War. He helped the Dragonborn practice his magic, to perfect it, so that he may end this terrible dragon crisis. He stuck with him through war and death. With his help, he gathered an Elder Scroll. But it was not to be. Alduin ambushed them. Paarthunax and the Dragonborn fought him in the sky, with Dragonfire and the arcane. When Alduin landed, Shadowmere ran to face his foe. Yet the dragon simply swept him aside, of the mountain top.

And that was the fate of Shadowmere, the horse who lived 200 years.
