Nickelback isn't bad. Certainly not great, but it's decent radio rock that's serviceable for its purpose. Is it Zeppelin? No way in hell, but you can certainly do worse.

i know i will probably get red thumbs or some shit but some of their songs are actually decent and a couple are really good im not saying all but some are not horrible i don't see why we need to just say we hate the when justin beiber is still out there making absolutely horrible songs while nickleback at least made some decent ones and i think that song in the post is one of their decent ones thanks for reading this horribly long paragraph

i feel bad for nickelback.they are one of those bands that people hate for no reason :/ people ruined there music for me because now whenever i hear a song by them i can only think of how many people hate them and it makes me sad :(

I don't get the Nickeback hate. They aren't the greatest rock bands to ever grace our ears with the sound of glorious music, but they are pretty alright. Except Rockstar. Let's not speak of that.

Ok, somebody explain it to me. I'm Spanish and Nickelback is not exactly the most famous band here, but anyway I remember that "How you remind me" was kind of a minor hit. I remember when I started to go out to drink and dance with my friends, in 2002, and we used to go to this bar in which you could listen "How you Remind me", along with "Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)", "Killing in the Name of", "The Memory Remains" or many other well known rock songs for all audiences. It is not like we have great memories with that song, but it wasn't neither like it ruined our nights and forced us to leave the bar. I forget totally about Nickleback. Go foward 10 years in time. Suddenly the whole Internet starts bitching about Nickelback as if it was some prefab Jonas Brothers-like band that came out of nowhere. I don't fucking get it.

Far Away is one of my favorite songs... Everytime I hear it I feel a little more hopeful about my future despite being a single mess of a man.
