The weather gadget on my desktop says we have thunderstorms all fucking week, while still being 113 tomorrow, and 108 Wednesday.

I'm in san fernando valley, CA. It was 111 yesterday.

It's gone over 106 or so in Southern California. Arizona/Nevada/New Mexico are fucking dry as hell, though.

A more accurate thing for me to have said would've been "That's warm for the coast" I guess.

I went to the beach a while back (in the LA area) and it was over 100 there, but that is a HOT temperature for the beach. I got a sunburn that lasted a week and a half. Looked like a lobster.

I can't deal with that area of the country in general haha. I have family in Florida and Georgia that I visited during the summer, and I don't know how you people live there. The only nice thing about summer heat in Arizona is the really low humidity.

we basically try to stay inside areas with air conditioning most of the time. The worst part is even if we go out at night when the temperature is in the low 80s high 70s we still start sweating and everything feels wet and sticky.

Yeah my grandma lives in Panama city, and the air conditioning was out while we were there. Sleeping in a puddle wasn't exactly fun. Maybe it's worse for me, since my body's not used to that much water in the air, but I couldn't live there.

I've lived here 10 years and my body hasn't adapted one bit. I still sweat a lot. When i'm done with college i plan to move out of the south and hopefully go to California.

Moving 3000 miles is one way to get out of the humidity lol

My high in Florida was only about 96 but we have a lot of humidity so it usually feels 10-15 degrees higher

actually I've been in both for extended periods of time, and Florida is worse. the Heat is between 10-20 degrees difference, but the humidity makes it so much more uncomfortable. In Arizona, it will get to 110 but it's dry heat (still 110 though) so any sweat will actually cool you off, as will a breeze, and the dry air makes the air less oppressive.

Arizona doesn't get thunderstorms as much as Florida though.

It's the same here in las vegas.
