Digimon season 3 was the aside from the first season. Its so much more realistic, dark, and actually shows that the children are a little over their heads in the whole "saving the world" thing. Not to mention they actually scientifically explained digimon in a way that almost makes sense. Oh yeah, and season 3 featured this bad ass motherfucker.
