I'd prefer Battle Royale. The games there are better set up for maximum sadistic entertainment.

Not to say it's an inherently better series, but the games themselves are better set up. By adding in randomized weapons you add in a sense of uncertainty when meeting new contenders. By eliminating shelters you slowly alter the tactics. And by making it so that someone has to die in 24 hours or else everyone dies and limiting food supplies, you keep the games from dragging on for weeks.

Yeah I'll take Battle Royale for action, but i prefer the Hunger Games when it comes to characters. That's just my opinion.

I actually prefer the Battle Royale characters better. I'll spare you the TL;DR reasons, but it mostly lies down to diversity in their reactions.

BR's characters are much more indepth. In the novel, they build up a lot of characters effectively, even the assholes, and give them enough development that it's really, really hard when they do die. Just think; the main villain throughout the story managed to make me feel sorry for him simply because of his character development.

The teacher from the books can still eat shit, tho.

To each his own right? I think characters wise it comes down to the reader's personality.

Oh, my mistake. I read your comment incorrectly. Yeah, you mentioned the one-death-a-game.

One-death-a-day.

fuck, I am having an off day.

Actually, the games can drag on for weeks. The movie sets it up that you only have three days to do it while the novel has it set up that there has to be at least one death a day meaning the longest a game can go is 41 days. Fortunately, there has never been one that long that was documented.

But yeah. BR has a better murder-until-one-is-left set up.

Very true, it does actually last for weeks. But at least with the death a day set up there's something happening during those weeks.

I saw your previous comment, but this is still a good point.
