THAT FEEL :(

I know exactly how you feel. I'm 21, and the week before this past Christmas, my family had to put down my beloved cat that we have had since I was born. I loved that cat more than anything, and the day that she was put down I came home from work that day and just broke down crying. It's things like animals that people overlook so often, thinking that they aren't a human, but that doesn't matter, they are just as much a member of the family as any human being.

Yup as horrible as it is to say, I probably love my dog more than most family members. I've only ever cried over 1 death (my friends) and I know for certain this'll be the second

I love animals more than humans because they will ALWAYS be loyal to you. Humans betray and backstab, animals (mainly dogs) won't.

Dat feel, I'm 16 and have a cat who my parents got a couple months before I was born and we've been bros for ever and now he is getting old and skinny and it is really sad :(

Already happened to me, bro. When i was 16 (coincidence) i came home from my football game and my dog started breathing hard. I had her since i was in Pre-k. But the next day i was all alone in my house with my dog and i could constantly hear her breathing hard. I checked on her at around 12:30 and then i went back to my room. not 30 minutes later do i come out of my room to see my dog, dead, right infront of my door in the hallway. it was pretty sad, i will admit i cried. I would't dare touch her so i had to call my dad to come over to my house and later that day we buried her.

2 weeks later we bought 2 dogs because t felt too wrong without a dog.

My dog I've had all my life died when I was 14, that was the last time I cried. That was 3 years ago.

I'm 13 and I got my dog when I was 4 or 5, I know she's getting old, she has a limp and can barely get up on her own... I can tell she wont last any longer that 2 years, Since we her from a friend we never had her as a puppy, and Iv'e never spent so much time with her in my life, this post showed me that I need to. I love her, she is my best friend....

My dog was 17, I'm 15. Parents had it before i was born, So i've had it since i've been alive. Had to be put down a couple months back, It sucks, Bad.

My 15 year old dog passed away last year while she was on vacation with us. It'll be almost a year without her. Everyday when I open my door and come home, I still expect to see her barking at me, all happy to see me. It's not the same.

So I was in the same situation as you. I got my first dog, a yellow lab named Moose, when I was 2. I got him to have as a friend because my lil' bro was just born and my parents would be busy with him. When I was seven, my parents divorced and my dad kept Moose with him. My dad never kept his house that clean and moved houses about once a year. We visited my dad Thursday nights and every other weekend., so that's when I got to see Moose. He was lazy and was content as long as any part of him was touching me. When I was 14, he started to get rumors and go blind. I fucking begged my dad to take him to the vet, but he never did. One Friday, as we were on my way to my dads's house, he told me Moose had died. My siblings and I started bawling, and so did my dad. I miss you Moose, I always will.

I had my cat, Tommy, for 10 years, we moved and when he went out for the first time... he never came back... or atleast for 3 months now... He is/was my only real friend, always there for me to make me happy again.

No he's gone, I feel depressed as shit.. I just can't accept the fact that he just ran away, Where is he now? I don't even know if he's even there..
The only thing I can think of now: Tommy, it been long enough man... pls come home

Also my cat now used to disappear in the summer for a few months up until he was about ten, he was too old then (that's actually the reason I have a second cat now)

I've had lots... and i mean lots of cats (like 6, 4 dead, 2 alive, one around 12 y/o). Most died when i was young so i never really got sad (one ran away for 3 years and came back with a snare around him). But the oldest one i have now is probably the only one that I have bonded with and I'll be sad when he dies. Most of the others I'd consider my mothers over mine.

My dog, Digby, died a year ago, and we only just got a new puppy.

My dog, whom I have had since I was born, died when I was 6. I didn't have any friends at that time and my big brother never stood up for me so my dog was the only one I had. My father who was the one who had to put him down actually cried, I've never ever seen my father cry except for then. This all happened on new-year to year 2000 and I still sometimes cry. Me and my brother made him a wooden cross with his name on and we buried him behind our summer house which we visit every holiday.

Similar story of how i got my dog, we had one before but he got sick and my dad had to put him down (Only time i know of him crying). Thats when my moms friend gave us our current dog. I was too young to remember the first dog though

My dog was sick too, he was going to turn eleven. I'll never forget my dog, god was he stubborn and cocky. I loved him so much because he reminded me of myself. There's one song that was his favorite and I still can't listen to it without bursting out in tears. I know it's not manly to cry but there's no helping it when you lose someone so close to you. He was not just a pet, he was a part of my family.

I know that feel well. My cat died prematurely.. He had some kind of liver disease I think, I don't remember. We had to put him down.

R.I.P, he was the best cat I ever had.. Well.. Maybe not because all of them are so awsome(maine coon)

you don't know how he got that watch. maybe he found it. maybe someone gave it to him. maybe he's had it since before he became homeless, and felt like he needed a watch so he never got rid of it.
