I will have courage to have an opinion on this, as I have gotten quite active in nightlife lately.
To me the appeal in those places is that you can feel comfortable enough to be silly and have fun with strangers that are there to do the same thing. It's like you're sharing a laugh, everybody just wants to have a good time and getting a genuine smile from somebody in a crowd and then engaging in some drunken dancing (even as just friends, I've done this as a girl with many girls) really can make your day. Of course there's the horrible slimy grinders after an easy **** (but that's okay too if it's what you've come there to do) but at least you can laugh about it with your friends and have a self-esteem boost, somebody finds you attractive enough to want to dance a few songs. If you don't have a very active sex life, it's nice to go and play a bit there without worries.
I moved to a foreign country and didn't know practically anybody so it's a very easy way to socialize as well, even though I have to say it's not the way to get real friends - but when you don't really have anybody else to make memories with, you can go there and meet strangers, share weird life stories and maybe learn something. And maybe you'll find somebody there with a nice brain. You never know, after all you went there.

TLDR; for all people clubbing isn't just about being "cool" and taking sexy Facebook pictures, some people actually just go there to enjoy loud music and bass, nice drinks and to feel less lonely. But there are always a few douches too but you can make all the fun out of them, they won't hear a thing in that music or see a thing because they're staring at boobies.

I see your point.
I disagree for myself personally, even if I have the loneliness bug but I can see your point and the benefits.

And yeah I am 20 and have never had, nor have the inclination to go clubbing. For me there is just bad music, I barely drink and I can't dance at all, so no point in going for me. XD

Like bumper cars, you bump into anybody and they wont give a **** , you look at them dead in the eye and laugh.

I see your point and agree, but I still love this pic.
